Arnaldo Ruben Ramos
Arnaldo “Ruben” Ramos is the founder of Immigration for Latin Americans and focuses his practice on family-based immigration, employment-based petitions, visitor visas, and representation in removal proceedings, including asylum and withholding of removal.
He also brings appellate litigation experience before federal district courts, federal circuit courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals, with prior work in Freedom of Information Act litigation and legal support for Department of Defense prosecutions before the Military Commission.
Before entering the legal profession, Ruben served 18 years in the United States military, including multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, first as an Infantryman and later as a senior Intelligence Officer.
Ruben founded Immigration for Latin Americans to build a community-centered firm dedicated to strong advocacy for immigrants and their families, guided by the belief that immigrants are central to the strength and future of the United States

Silvia Palacios-DeRamos, spouse and partner of Ruben Ramos, leads client relations, marketing, and financial operations at Immigration for Latin Americans (ILA).
As an immigrant from El Salvador, she brings firsthand understanding of the immigration journey and the challenges many families face, allowing her to connect with clients with empathy, insight, and genuine commitment.
Silvia plays a vital role in ensuring that every client experiences clear communication, responsive support, and a welcoming environment from the moment they contact the firm. She also directs the firm’s community outreach and marketing efforts, helping connect immigrant communities with trusted legal guidance.
Through her leadership in client engagement and firm operations, Silvia helps ensure that ILA remains focused on its mission of strong advocacy, community connection, and meaningful support for immigrants and their families.

His practice focuses on both nonimmigrant visas, including tourist and employment visas, and immigrant visa matters, such as family-based petitions and other specialized immigration categories.
